TRIED IT

Happy Sabbath and Good Afternoon :)

I had a good week.  I got through it by the grace of God.  I was able to see all except one of my work appointments this week.

I had a meeting that I was not looking forward to.  Knowing how I felt, I tried preparing for that meeting by making sure I had certain documents saved and easily accessible to refer to. What happened was reminiscent of the time when I was trying to print a document needed for me to finish my graduate application process.  This week I made sure to email a copy of the document and other prep to myself in the event for some rare reason, my computer did not cooperate.  I emailed the doc to my personal email by accident and decided to also try to email it to my primary.  I saved docs on my computer, had my note pad set up and was ready.  I pull up to the place where I am to meet with my client and team but the client wanted to run to the store to get something first so that forced me to wait in my car.

I decided to set up in my car and opened my laptop for nothing to happen.  The computer refused to turn back on, despite me having fully charged it and having everything prepared to go once it woke up from sleep. I kept trying 10 minutes before start time and nothing. Absolutely nothing.

So my back up was what I sent to my email right? I went to my work email and saw that the email I needed was missing.  No problem, I sent the information to my personal email.  I go into my personal email and see it and when I select to open, the document WILL NOT OPEN.  I kept trying with the regular apps I use to access it and finally it gave a notification that the document was empty?  That there was nothing to display.  Just like how it was back in 2011 when I tried to open that word doc.  Just like it.  I was flabbergasted and looked at the clock and had one minute before my meeting was to start.

I had to log into the state site over my phone to access the other info I needed.  I was expecting a problem with that but it did work.  If it didn't, I would just have to go off of memory but then as people started signing on, my computer wanted to start working.  The meeting was hectic because of the client not being able to focus and his usual unpredictability.  Even a black cat crossed the street.  The enemy was throwing all sorts of things in my way, but praise the Lord, I was able to get through it, cover all important topics and not look like an idiot.

I am thankful for the Lord helping me to remain calm and focused despite all the other stuff that was going on.  I am thankful for the Lord keeping me safe because I was not in a safe area in the city.  A person approached my car suspiciously from across the street and passed close on the driver's side while I had my computer open.  I was able to meet with the team in the building after my client returned and when I was getting ready to leave, someone rang the bell and the manager told us it was my client's friend.  I come downstairs to find that the weird person who passed my car was his friend.  This same person approached my car before a while back.  I guess they thought I was selling some pretty plants.  I love gardening but I don't deal with that type of nonsense.  That area has people wandering around to make a deal and are trigger happy. I thank God for keeping me safe and my vehicle safe as well. You never know what time people are on.

I am thankful for today's communion service and the person who joined me to make the worship experience great. She played her instrument and it went so well with the piano.  I know that when we have communion, and it has happened at other times that if there is a period of silence I will try to remove the awkwardness of the period by playing soft music. At the same time, and I think it is on purpose, there will be someone who decides to play a random track and interrupts what I am doing on the piano.  It is very disruptive and annoying and it causes confusion for more persons than just me.   I expected them to do the same thing today but I guess because there was a guest musician, they decided not to pull that nonsense.  They didn't try it today in that manner.  They requested that we play a hymn that we played optionally before and one of the singers had me stop to ask me to play it a tad bit faster.  There were other things I noticed that I won't comment on.  I will leave it at that, it was a good day. The enemy tries using people at my work place, at church, and other places.  But my God is greater than anything it can attempt.

God is good. 😀
