Happy Sabbath

 Good afternoon and Happy Sabbath,

For my weekly update, I report that God has been good and always is.  Today was a fun day at church.  I prepared some activities for the children in my sabbath school class and for Adventurer's meeting and it went well. The children learned something new, my son volunteered to help out and he made the experience awesome for everyone who came out today.  I am looking forward to a trip with church family tomorrow and am awaiting the details of where we will meet.  One way would be less expensive for most which is what I proposed and another way would require we all pay for parking and there are a lot of people coming along.  What ever they choose, I'll go with. I've always wanted to take my son to this area but it was hard to justify paying so much to go, knowing he would get upset about having to travel so far and might not want to walk.

Work was good this week and I will not complain. Today's my sister's birthday and I was able to wish her a happy birthday.  My son and I were able to get out in the yard and fix fences as well as mow and set up a new raised bed for him.  We will put out our seedlings next week after we return from our trip tomorrow. We had a wonderful day on Resurrection Sunday.  I wanted to go to the YMCA and although they said they were open, it was not true. We ended up going to our neighborhood park and after some exploring discovered there was a camping area inside the park that I never knew of.  I have to request and get permits for church events and have looked over the options on their app and website. I have never come across camping grounds in my town, but this was there deep in the woods creek side.  I took a photo of my son with a mama deer and baby deer posing in the background. It truly was a lovely experience and it was fitting for us to be able to enjoy nature, God's creation on this important holiday.

I thank the Lord for that experience. I thank Him for helping me to get through lesson materials with my church children, for being able to help with other ministries, to meet new people, and for everything this week.

God is good.
