Looking Forward

Happy Sabbath

I'm trying to remember the details of this week..It was a good week. Sunday my son seemed to be doing better..He was sick on Sabbath so we left church early last week. Monday was a good day for us both. Tuesday I started getting sick and so did my parents. Whatever germ my son picked up, he spread it to us. Wednesday I tried but I was feeling awful and then my son vomited on the bus to school so I had to go get him and make sure he had all the things that made him comfortable.  I ended up taking PTO for most of the day. Thursday I struggled through with teary eyes and runny nose but felt better than Wednesday.  Friday I did DOOR dash for the first time in about a year. My GPS stopped working after my second drop off but I was able to figure out a way to make several other orders happen. I don't see the long hours available like I did before, but the lyft driver said the right thing to me. I followed his advice and was able to at least see something.

I was thinking of quitting the runs early when I got this big offer and I decided why not. I went to the site and as I was looking for the items I heard someone call my name. It was a church sis who's husband is having a difficult time with pain and his health. I was surprised to see her there and it was nice. God had a reason for me to run into her. There was another order after that which was large but I saw how close the time would run to my son's arrival from the school so I decided to decline and stop work that moment. I had signed up until 3pm but the time they offered me was at 2:48pm..I couldn't hit the end Dash link quick enough so I know my decline rate was affected but its OK. I am thankful for extra little money that otherwise I wouldn't have had.

I spoke with one of my clients and he showed off gear and souvenirs he bought when he went to the Sight and Sound Theatre. I've always wanted to go especially after I saw this clip of a man singing...the guy from the Gergenses or whatever. I think that specific show was Jesus. This year, the show is Moses. When I heard that clip, I wanted to cry. He sang about the love of Jesus and how He cared even for a lowly soul like that demon possessed man and set him free. The artistry, the imagery, the musicianship of everyone, everything was amazing. And here I'm blown away looking at this live action scene on YouTube. I heard from my clients how amazing the current show Moses was and talked to others who went or knew about the cost.

I also thought about how many times churches said they were going to plan a trip to go there and no one would ever agree to put up the money to make it happen. I decided Thursday to purchase tickets for this summer. We will be pretty much in the front row (second row but no one will be blocking us so an unofficial extension of the front row)?  I've taken my son to theme parks, beaches, farms, camping, ice skating, race car driving, and other weird places. I've never taken him to a show like this. And I can't wait. Pretty soon, we'll probably be going to see orchestras and the opera and the space center. OK, maybe not that but indoor skydiving is on my list of to dos.

Moses is going to be a great show and help him to understand a little more of what God did for the people of Israel in a different way. It must have been something to see the waters divide and to see the fire by night and cloud by day. I don't know how they will recreate it but I'm excited to see and feel like I'm practically there in this true and amazing Bible history lesson. It's gonna be great!!

Sabbath today was lead out by the children and they did great. Aside from some illness this week, I have no complaints.  God is good!!
