Changing Time

I haven't been the best this week with my family. I have had arguments with family members, dealt with things breaking, and a few other frustrations. My son is sick since Thursday and attitudes have improved. In all my meanness, the Lord still was looking after me.

I scheduled a meeting for Friday at 1pm.  Also had another meeting scheduled in another part of the state at 11am. I typically tend to run a little over an hour, but for some reason my client left the area and I had to wait with the other invitees longer than expected. I started the meeting without her after three others didn't shoe and one half hour in. The five other ladies present stayed with me and it ended up being over 2.5 hours.

Now before I started out for the first meeting, I stopped in the office to send out an email reminder to the second specialist that I would be on my way for the scheduled time at 1pm. During the wait for my first meeting, she responded saying in a rude curt manner that our appointment was for 1:30pm. I was annoyed of course but emailed her over my phone agreeing to the time.

If it was not 1:30pm, I would have been late and with the first major snow storm of the year, the specialist would have been gone sooner, not willing to make herself available to discuss the progress of my other client. It's also the end of the month and I'm booked up so I cannot afford to make any changes. God knows the ending from the beginning. I thank Him for permitting this change and for safe travels home.

I am thankful for a flexible job. I do not have to work on the weekends and have the option of working from home with a remote access system if the office is closed Monday.

I took my son to his first day of Pre-school on Tuesday and welcomed him home his first day on the school bus. I never thought I'd see anything like this and it's wonderful to behold. He is well ahead in academics, from his grasp of the alphabet and reading several words, writing his numbers and letters, handle of technology  (he deftly locates apps, types in what he is looking for on YouTube, and showed me other functions on that old Samsung S3 that I never knew were available). He can even draw faces, sing songs, know Spanish, Hindi, and other languages  (that youtube I know...) and he just turned three last week.

Three years old!

God is good.
