Happy Sabbath
I love my weekends so much. I look forward to relaxing this weekend and so far church was off to a good start. I had a good week at work and for the most part recovered from my cold. I was able to do some shopping and get some great items for this weekend. I have no complaints. God is good. I've been spending alot of time seeking out testimonies from other Christians. I have been encouraged by those testimonies and thinking about things much more. I was getting a bit disappointed that my church didn't seem to have these types of testimonies but this morning I was able to hear one and it was very encouraging. We need to keep our eyes fixed on the Lord. Pray every day. Never stop. Pray for the Holy Spirit to be with you, in you, and directing you. There is so much evil out here and we cannot go anywhere without the Lord Jesus. May you stay prayed up and continue your walk with Him. Even if you stumbled this week, get back up and keep going. Jesus loves you and He will help you no matter what you are going through. God bless you.

Knee
Happy Sabbath,
Today was a good day and this week was good. I was paid by my other side gig and that was a shock because I ran into so many issues trying to set up direct deposit. I was nominated for an award. I attended a good service today. I don't have many complaints. My mom is having a hard time. Her knee became infected in one small spot and she is in alot of pain. My primary prayer is for her and her speedy recovery. So this week, the Lord kept me, I was encouraged by testimony on YouTube, and honored on the job. If you say anything please say a prayer for my mother. With this infection she is afraid of losing her leg like my aunt did. She did the surgery to try to keep her mobility and she's at an age where there is just more risk.
Happy Sabbath to yoy.

Persevere
Happy Sabbath,
I am over at my parents' house checking in on my mom. She's in a lot of pain and has to do stretches and exercises as her knee heals. She had full knee replacement surgery at the end of August and they say if he doesn't get her knee to 90 degrees by the 29th she will have to have another surgery to break up the scar tissue. She is trying everything she can but it is so hard to see her going through this. She is having such a tough time. Aside from this, I have had a good week. My adult clients are doing alright and I was able to see my child client as usual this week. Sessions are going well. I had my first supervision with my counseling job. I was encouraged more because I know I'm in the right company. I'm not the only nut out here with 3 or more jobs going at thr same time. I met another behavior assistant and therapist and listened to them about how they have been handling their cases. My church sis came to supervision too as she wanted support with getting set up with the systems. I don't think she is going to last but it was good to see her and hopefully she does so she is able to get the experience and she is seeking. I am going to go to a nursing home in about an hour to support with that ministry. My son is rebelling and I'm feeling down about that, but I'm going to press on anyway. I hope you have had a good week and that you will be blessed today.

Piano and Prayer
Happy Sabbath,
Keeping this short. I'm with my mother who is recovering from knee replacement surgery. I had a good week and saw my son off for his first day of 5th grade. I have a 5th grader, I can't believe it. Church was good today and a testimony that was shared was interesting as well. I think it serves more as a warning for someone else than it is for me. The person who gave their testimony said they came to the US and was hoping to become an citizen. They married someone to get that green card but the family objected and she ended up siding with her family and he was abandoned. He talked about his journey to becoming a Christian and joining the adventist church. His main point was that we need to go to church for God, not for other people. People will fail you, abandon and let you down but God is faithful and is always there to pick you up when you are down. I am helping a Haitian guy learn piano and although he seems cool, i will keep my guard up. I notice he hangs out in the hallway instead of being in the sanctuary to listen to the sermon. He bee lines to me to discuss piano and today was trying to play a song that was secular and I had to refocus him. I don't really see him talking to other people in the congregation. He lives nearby and walks to church. I know he lives with his sister and only knows limited English. I hope that more people befriend him and the men of the church take him under their wing. I have offered to help him with piano and I want to leave it at that. I imagine that if he has a good ear, he could play during the service and be a back up or even replace me. We need people who can play the piano and since I'm the only one I have to be there every single Sabbath. It would be wonderful if there was a back up. I am going to find some hymns and break them down so he can work on them and who knows, we could both play the same day (he on the keyboard) and other people who have skill with instruments could get involved during praise and worship as well. Everyone has to start somewhere and for me it was dude having me try for the whole service and dipping out for a few weeks assuring me that I had it. This guy knows the Cmajor scale and played it with perfect fingering. He needs to know other keys, how to read music and general chord progressions. I can get some info together for him and see if he can play during service all depending on his skill level. Piano is all I'll give to this person. They better not expect anything beyond that and prayer.
I'm signing off and hope you have a wonderful Sabbath and weekend.

Happy Sabbath,
Keeping it short. I'm at my parent's house with my mom
She had knee replacement surgery on Thursday and it's pretty tough for her so I cancelled my plans for a lake side weekend and am going to be here when I am not working. Church was good today and I had a good and productive week. No complaints. God is good
.Church friends just came to visit my mom and it was good to see then. I upset my son but other than that, it was a great day today.
